Baptcare Targeted Youth Support Services (TYSS)
TYSS is a program for vulnerable and 'at risk' young people aged between 10- 18 who are identified as having significant or multiple risk factors, are disengaged or becoming disengaged from family, education, or community and have minimal protective factors.
TYSS works collaboratively with young people, family, service providers and/or community members by focusing on a range of individual needs, to increase connections with education, services, community, family and friends; to decrease the occurrence or risk of homelessness, to improve self-esteem, health and wellbeing, to assist young people lessen the number and intensity of risk factors and reduce their likelihood of involvement with the Youth Justice and Child Protection Services. TYSS provides an overall assessment and case planning approach to address the broad and multiple ranges of needs and risks for young people with a single key worker approach.
