Carers Tasmania - Support Groups (South)
Carers Tasmania co-ordinates a number Support Groups in Southern Tasmania, run by carers for carers.

The Southern support groups are as follows:
Men’s Caring Friends Group
Third Wednesday of the month 10.30am to 12.30pm
Thursday Men’s Carer Group
Third Thursday of the month 12.00pm to 2.00pm
Laughing Lunches Social group
First Thursday of every month at 12.00pm for lunch
various Hobart venues.
*Hobart Friday Mindfulness Interest Group
This group is for carers who have completed the Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MiCBT) course at Carers Tasmania.
First Friday of the month from 1.00pm to 2.30pm
Wednesday Mindfulness Group
Wednesdays 10am to 12pm
Hobart Walking Group
Second Tuesday of the month at 10.30am.
Meet at Botanical Gardens, in the foyer outside Succulent Restaurant.
Kingston Support Group
Fortnightly on a Tuesday at 12.00pm.
Meetings alternate between the Kingston Community Health Centre and cafes in the Kingborough area.
BYO lunch for meetings at the Health Centre.
Mental Health Carers Social/Reference Group
Wednesday once a month from 1.00pm till 3.00pm as a social group, with a reference group meeting once per quarter. Please contact Carers Tasmania for more information.
Eastern Shore Support Group
Third Friday of the month at The Mornington Warrane Neighbourhood house.
Carers of People with Dementia Support Group
Fortnightly on a Friday from 10.00am, venues vary – please contact Carers Tasmania for more information.
LGBTI Carer Support/ Reference Group
This group is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender Intersex and Carers (LGBTI) Carers and those who are caring for a person who is LGBTI.
Second Friday of the Month.
