Dementia Australia - Carer Support Groups - South
The physical and emotional demands of caring for a loved one when they have dementia can be high. As the amount of care needed increases, more demands are put on your energy and time. Self-care is important - one way that you can support yourself is by joining a support group.
We have two Carers Groups in the South - Opals, which meets twice each month, and the Men’s Carers Group, which meets once a month.
As well as gaining information, carers are supported by our staff and each other in their caring role.
